North Georgia Surgery’s commitment to health extends beyond the office into the community through Dr. Rodovaldo Rodriguez’ support of local philanthropic endeavors.
DEO Clinic
On Mondays, you will find Dr. Rodriguez working from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Dalton Episcopal Outreach (DEO) Clinic, which offers free healthcare for North Georgia’s chronically homeless. The clinic is a ministry of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, where Dr. Rodriguez attends.
The Rev. Elizabeth Roles described the effort as a crossover between ministry and the work of social workers: “Both the social work profession and the life of the church are about the welfare of the community, and of human beings and of wanting to reach out to those who are maybe on the margins of society.”
Relay for Life
North Georgia Surgery is a sponsor and strong supporters of the Murray County and Whitfield County Relay for Life, an overnight event designed to celebrate cancer survivorship and raise money for research and programs of the American Cancer Society.
Additionally, North Georgia Surgery supports Dalton High School, Murray High School and Southeast Whitfield High School.
